Taxation Planning and Litigation Services
There are two aspects to my tax practice: planning and litigation.
Planning can be done in the context of business planning or estate planning. For business planning, I have experience in helping clients minimize taxes at the Federal, State and local level. This involves taxes such as sales and use tax, corporate net income tax, capital stock/foreign franchise tax, personal income tax, business privilege tax, net profits tax, use and occupancy tax, and real estate tax. I can help businesses in the start-up phase make decisions about the proper entity to choose to minimize taxes and also help existing businesses restructure activities in order to take advantage of existing tax law provisions.
On the tax litigation side, if the IRS or a state or local taxing authority come calling, I can review the taxing authority's determination and, if appropriate, challenge the determination through an administrative appeal or, if necessary, in court. I have extensive experience in tax controversies and litigation, both within the administrative agencies and in court. I can help clients with a wide range of tax problems.
Simply put, I want to give you the practical tax advice you need to make your business as profitable as possible.
